Chris Janssen
I see you, do you see me?
Chris Janssen, a pure autodidact. She has been painting and creating for years. Her way of "painting" and working with clay stems from years of working with criminals, victims, and "just" with people.
What does a person think about, what moves someone? What do we actually want to see when we walk down the street? Do we really look?
The work is freely created without rules, away from pure anatomy, fixed lines, and what is expected. Also changing her works, always within her own style. She explores the edges and does not want to create en masse.
- Try not to be perfect -
She wants to show the beauty of imperfection.
Every person has their own story, whether beautiful, sad, or...
She likes to search for thoughts, wants to make people think by drawing you into her work.
She will never answer the question "what was the reason, what is this painting called?" or "what were your thoughts on this work?"
"As soon as you give those answers, they are never your own thoughts anymore.“
This is what it is. I do what I do.
