Sigrun Borgen
Sigrun Borgen is a mixed-media artist from Norway, based in Södermalm, Stockholm. She uses figurative forms, usually human, to explore structure, texture, light, shadow, and color. She is interested in investigating how these aspects shape our reality, how they can be captured, emphasized, and manipulated through various artistic mediums. She prefers working with acrylic and oil paints; however, she is always eager to test and incorporate new techniques and media to achieve a variety of effects.
Sigrun has always been fascinated by art as a medium for self-exploration and expression, through which she has been able to observe and process the world around her. Even today, visual representation is an important way for her to communicate, both in her professional career as an architect and in her personal artistic creations. For Sigrun, art is a dynamic exploration of perception and representation, allowing her to express herself without physical boundaries or rules. Her work continues to be an ongoing conversation between herself and her surroundings, and in an ever-changing world, her perspective and her art remain open to evolving with it.
